Some people have to use what they have to get the job done! I appreciate that you thot of this and did not care what others said about it and went on and got the job done. I appreciate how you set up your video.... if all How-to videos would do the same, I would never have to give a thumbs-down.

I like how you opened with what the video was going to explain. You revealed the final product first. That told me if I desired to watch the rest of the video or not.

Next, you gave you trademark, telling me who you are. Nice colors.

Then, you showed me each of the steps. No fast forward needed, because you took out the extra stuff.

You displayed the detail points of each step... you showed the wide angle, then zoomed to the detail point.

Finally l, your music in the back ground was not too loud. It was not techno, but a nice commonly generic tune that could reach all audiences.

Now, I am in no means a professional or even a novice video producer; however, I do know what I like and do not like.

Thank you for your time in putting together a well thought out video to show me in detail how to do something I would like to do.

Perfect timing!
I have a project that I'm involved with now, and I will need one inch dowels, and this looks like an easier way to make them, with a consistent diameter than on my lathe.

Hi, Brilliant idea. I've made the dowel cutter but I'm having trouble with the holder for the batten. How did you cut the square hole? I've tried a chisel which splits the wood and a router but then I can't see what i'm cutting.

You may need to sharpen those drill bits. Mine did not catch in the wood after sharpening and some candle wax. Great video. Thank you for posting.
