Not sure if your husband has insurance, but it was the case that every insurance will cover one breast pump per pregnancy. We have terrible insurance, and they still did this.

I'd also recommend having a diaper party - we called it my husband's "Dad-chelor Party." He had his guy friends over to watch football, he bought pizza and beer, and in exchange, they had to bring a pack/box of diapers. Those, along with what I received at my baby shower, made it so we didn't have to buy diapers at all for almost the first year of parenthood. Definitely a good money saver!

I'd like to normalize gifting still nice second hand items. A baby registry was really hard for me because I hated everything being bought new when there is tons of barely used baby stuff readily available and already produced.
