Braccio Robot Arm Pickup with OpenCV Object Detection

Показать описание
This is a demo of a robotic arm that can find and pickup apples. I use OpenCV's YOLOv3 for object detection, and pass the locations to ROS MoveIt and onto the Arduino Braccio Arm. Also, since there is a limited region where the apple can be picked up, I added a subroutine to roll the apple into a viable position.

Amazing project.
Could you tell the version of ros you are using in this project. Cause i'm using ros melodic and it uses python 2 and the opencv dnn module is not compatible with python2.

Amazing..

I almost bought this one, but ended up with the "Grab-it" instead.
However, I'm using a motorino shield, what do you use on your setup?

It's really awesome 😍
Can I add my own object to detect in yolov3 ?
How do you program the arm to go to the right position?

Awesome project mate,
I've been trying to redo this project, Everything works fine till i get to the 5th step. I run the python script (braccio_xy_bb_target.py). I tried the poses like "home" and "up" it works fine but when I try "calibrate " nothing happens. Can you help with that?

I'm using Ubuntu 20.04 and ROS noetic.
