Wilson school board to vote on banning books

The Wilson County School Board considered banning two books during its meeting on Monday night.

They are not banning books. They are curating age appropriate books for school. How can a book be banned when it is available at the public libraries, online, and bookstores?

If a book has sexual content in it that same book should not be allowed in a public school or library. Pornographic books are for adults, not children. If people think that is appropriate than libraries need a change in their appearance to best reflect the content within. Some red lights and nude people painted on the doors would suit just fine.

school boards can't ban books, all they can do is keep them out of curriculum and out of school libraries. anybody will still be able to buy those books anytime they want.

School boards actually have no authority over your child .
Why parents "talk" to school boards is beyond me .
If you are dumb enough to believe, they can scribble things on paper and pass it off as some policy that harms your child and you keep your kid in that school, well.... you can't complain .
