I named my cat after this song (Misdasun) his nick name was Sun. he radiated sunshine and love. his fur was even golden. tragically he was killed. I’ll miss him forever. but he lives on through this beautiful song💓🌞

It’s delightful how a spiritual journey introduces you to a spiritual family:)

I am 63 years old, and i think she makes some of the coolest music i have ever heard - respect. Reminds me of when I came across Glass Animals Gooey way back on another day when i was scoping for some new music. She is great! Such a voice.

Man I really love my generation's music.People always look at the mainstream and are like this generations fucked, but they never look at the underground and end up missing all these gems.

Edit: This is a year later.Ive never gotten this many likes on a comment before so thanks! And my opinion still stands. This generation has lots of great artists that are just overlooked because of the main agenda that is pushed. I feel im only obligated to list the others ive found a year later so skip this if you dont wanna hear it. Little Simz *GREY Area* was a beautiful album, Sonder's *Into* EP is so pleasing to the ears, Amber Olivier's self titled EP has a reminiscent 2000s vibe to it, Lianne La Havas' self titled album is a great soothing sound, reminds me somewhat of Corinne Bailey Rae and Erykah Badu infused on one album, Disclosure's ENERGY album was great, Black Pumas self titled album was good, they also released an expanded deluxe of it this year, Matt Martians' *The Drum Chord Theory*, *Steve Lacy's EP* is a bop, The Internet’s *Hive Mind* and their 2015 release *Ego Death*, Buddy's *Harlan & Alondra* is a must listen, Gotts Street Park's album *Volume One*, and their new release *Volume Two*, *BUBBA* was a well deserved Grammy win for Kaytranada, Shay Lia's *Dangerous* album, Rejjie Snow, just look into all his albums, *Dear Annie* is a good one, Ama Lou's DDD, clipping's *Visions of Bodies Being Burned*, Joyce Wrice's *Overgrown*, Lucky Daye's *Table for Two*, The Night Café's *0151*, Oscar Jerome's *Live In Amsterdam*, Slauson Malone's *A Quiet Farwell, Twenty Sixteen to Twenty Eighteen*, Terrace Martin's *Sounds of Crenshaw Vol. 1*, *Penrose Records Vol. 1* is an album by multiple artists, I recommend it if youre looking for lowrider Oldies, Yussef Kamaal's *Black Focus*, Tom Misch's *5 Day Mischon EP*, *Miguel's Spotify Sessions* album, Mansur Brown's *Shiroi*, The Hics' *Tangle EP*, Flying Lotus' *Flamagra*, on the rise artists PARIS TEXAS, I really enjoy their sound. Its different in its own right. Blood Orange's *Negro Swan* and his *Freetown Sound* Album are also great listens, HAIM’s *Women In Music Part lll*, Paramore’s *After Laughter*, Hiatus Kaiyote’s *Mood Valiant* and their 2015 album *Choose Your Weapon*, an old Neo Soul recommend is *Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite* and his *MTV Unplugged* version, Ravyn Lenae’s *Crush EP* and her 2018 EP *Midnight Moonlight EP*, Slowdive’s *Pygmalion* and their 94’ release *Souvlaki*, and to finish it off Kelsey Lu. I recommend checking out this video

Thats all ive been up to for the last year, hopefully you guys enjoy some of those albums and artists. I’ll keep adding on to this list and updating until I no longer want to for those who randomly come across this comment.
Edit: November 2021. So far there's been a lot of new projects to come out this year that are interesting. A few headliners are obviously DONDA and CLB, but I don't really recommend CLB, and haven't yet listened to DONDA. An album I do recommend however is *An Evening With Silk Sonic*, it lives up to it's hype and is 30 minutes of a funky adventure. No skips for me, some tracks I don't fully like but they're not at all bad, and in this day and age this album brings something old to the table in a brand new refreshing way.
Some recommends from that album are: After Last Night, Put On a Smile, and of course the hit singles Leave the Door Open and Smokin Out the Window. Blast Off is a great culmination to an amazing album, and I think I heard Paak say they'll be rocking this til the wheels fall off, so we may see more from him and Bruno in the future (hopefully). Some other albums that I find good were Baby Keem's *The Melodic Blue* . It wasn't amazing but it wasnt bad either, it's a good listen depending on your ears, I'm not a huge fan on rappers like him but they do still interest me and I'm able to enjoy them every now and then. A few recommends for R&B, Sinead Harnett's *Ready Is Always Too Late*, Snoh Aalegra's *Temporary Highs In the Violet Skies*, if you're into country *Old Flowers* by Courtney Marie Andrews, Leon Bridges' *Gold Diggers Sound (Deluxe)*, Rejjie Snow's *Baw Baw Black Sheep*, Amine's *TWOPOINTFIVE*, Raury's *Fervent*, this one is an old classic of mine, Ralfi Pagan's 1971 album *With Love*, Shay Lia's *Solaris* EP, Elujay's *Gems in the Cornerstore*, Anaiis *This is no longer a dream*, Paris Texas' *Red Hand Akimbo*, Majid Jordan's *Wildest Dreams*, PinkPantheress' *To Hell With It*, Ganser's *Odd Talk*, Little Simz *Sometimes I Might Be Introvert*, Isaiah Rashad's *The House Is Burning*, WILLOW's *Lately I Feel Everything*, H.E.R.'s *Back Of My Mind*, UMI's *Introspection Reimagined*, Greentea Peng's *MAN MADE*, Cheek the Profit's *The Profit Strikes Back*, Ryan Adam's *Heartbreaker*, and finally to close it off with some early Christmas Spirit, Bryson Tiller's Nov.19 release *A Different Christmas* . The last album I truly recommend, it's nice and I honestly like it better than his Anniversary album. It's short but all the tracks are pretty good. Those are my late 2021 Album recommends, some new and some old. Hopefully, something for everyone. A song I recommend as of right now that I find to be very inspiring, is Fiona Apple's On The Bound. That comes from her 99' Album When The Pawn..., which I also recommend.

Also here's a link to a playlist including songs from all the artists mentioned above as well as others scattered in. I'll continue adding more songs to that playlist as I haven't finished it yet. I'll also be trying to make an Audiomack playlist for those who'd rather stream it, can't use Spotify because all the songs aren't on there. I also recommend an IG Page named @sleepingongems . It's a page dedicated to music, and they post lots of good content on there, highly recommend. For music reviews, I recommend Shawn Cee's YouTube channel. He does reviews of albums and he's pretty good at it, if you need to check out an album to see if it's good, his reviews are basically a patch of approval or disdain for it.

I can really feel that she wrote this song on the spot in one go. Literally she woke up one day after a rainy week, looked out the window and said “hey mr.sun where have you been?” Love it!!!

. . . I can't lie, I need you, Mr. Sun . . .

I've been feeling increasingly suicidal for a while.
I've been crying all day, telling myself it's finally my time now.
YouTube finally got it right.
This is lovely.
I really want to survive this winter so I can hear this in the spring.
It would feel even better then. . .
Magical.
I can imagine it, at least.
A dream for now.

Thank you, Greentea Peng... 💐💛
Beautiful woman, beautiful video, beautiful song. . .
I am so excited to find more of your music to appreciate.
Thank you. . .

I'm a person who listens to the same songs for months at a time. So when I haven't found a new song in a while, my mood and health definitely start drifting downward. Sometimes we need the sun, a contrast to all the dull, grey, wet, mushy life we've been dealing with on repeat.
