BJP, AAP lock horns over Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s CBI summon in excise policy case

Hours after Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal has been summoned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for questioning in the excise policy case, war of words has begun between Bharatiya Janata Party and Aam Aadmi Party. This development comes as former Delhi deputy CM Manish Sisodia continues to languish in judicial custody in the same case. Sisodia was arrested by ED and CBI in the ongoing investigation of a case related to alleged irregularities in the framing and implementation of the excise policy of GNCTD. Manoj Tiwari, “Delhi government is going back on their promises. If Delhi government stops the electricity subsidy than BJP is going to protest against it and will not let Arvind Kejriwal to bluff the people. When BJP government was in power in Delhi, it gave electricity subsidy.” Meenakshi Lekhi said, “CBI must have completed its investigation, must have collected papers and that’s why they are calling Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Being the CM, no policy of Delhi can be made without his consent and knowledge. Somewhere Arvind Kejriwal’s cooperation has been there in all these things.”
