My aunt prefers using her Henry instead of any other hoover on her cleaning jobs. She cleans like office buildings and stuff, and she swears by her good 20 year old Henry. That thing has seen me and my cousins grow up, has survived pet cats, birds, rats, mice and the slime craze, and she still uses it both at work and at home.

If there’s one thing I have pride in as a Brit, it’s Henry hoovers. They’re more than a goofy face slapped onto a hoover. They’re genuinely some of the best hoovers ever made. They got it right and went “yep, let’s just keep making these in different sizes and for different purposes”.

Plus they’re so goofy looking you can’t not love them. My dad has one in his van that doesn’t work anymore and he’d have it as a mate in the van. He used to kick it down stairs when jobs didn’t go well…ol’ mate Bertie had a few war scars on him.

That brand of vacuum cleaner makes their stuff practically bullet proof. My mother's got a basic bitch red Henry and it's lasted nearly 17 years and it's still going. They're a little heavy and bulky, but if you can get one, I can't recommend them enough.

Here's a top tip, get vintage tools. I don't have digital calipers like at 0:37, I've got my grandads old mechanical calipers made in the USSR, the small one can measure up to 0.1mm the big one can measure 0.01mm. My grandad used to use them everyday, he said they are still accurate.

Got a Henry here in the UK, George's slightly smaller red cousin. It was ancient before I got it and I've used it throughout a home renovation for cleaning up all sorts of atrocities. The sheer volume of abuse that thing puts up with never ceases to amaze me.
