My dad NEVER let us walk on or near (if it could be avoided) lawns that had been sprayed with herbicides/pesticides. He knew they were toxic and wanted them to be made illegal for residential use. He grew up on a farm in New Brunswick, and three out of the five brothers have Parkinson's. They used various chemicals throughout the 40s-60s. Only one of my uncles continued to use heavy pesticides throughout his life ... he now has severe Parkinson's.
