I thought it would be a good idea to take some time to show you my greenhouse setup. In the video, i will show you every aspect of the greenhouse including the apparatus I use to control my grow space climate.

For those of you who are considering starting your own greenhouse, this video will hopefully provide some guidance and useful hints.

I do not have a dream house I really don't need one but it was so interesting to watch how and what you do in your Greenhouse the apparatus is that you have in there very interesting and very neat and organized. Cool Oliver. I don't think I've ever left you a comment but this was really interesting because I don't know anything about greenhouses really except for what I've seen in Rogers Channel and his is very different than yours and his his little compare to yours. very very interesting thank you Oliver😊😊👉👵👈

Excellent setup Oliver- we used what you call a swamp cooler, in inland Australia.. known here as an evaporative air conditioner

All very well thought out. Love the 'swamp-cooler' - I haven't actually come across one of these before but I have heard all about them.

Thank you for the thorough tour of the 'innards' of your greenhouse. Do you find the CPs benefit from the high humidity too? That Drosera in a basket right under the nozzle must really like it. Are there any exceptions?

I'm going to have to retry with the mist system. Brought a brass one and it just leaks everywhere so even with 1 nozzle I just get a dribble coming out. I forgot about the evaporative air cooler, I'm going to have to buy one for when the temperature starts increasing in spring. I presumed shading cloth would do the same thing with keeping some of the light out and you can get it pretty cheap and with variable amounts of shading. I was thinking of a dual relay thermostat to kick in the heating and cooling on 1 system and then having the mist system on a humidistat I brought in September.

Always appreciate a plastic film being pulled off. So very satisfying!

Multi element system works so well as your orchids look lush.

Btw is the swamp cooler similar to the 'air con' units you can buy where a fan that blows over a water filled wick?

Really nice setup! I'm not sure but it seems that the intake of air for the swamp cooler is from the greenhouse. If it could pull air from outside (theoretically less humid) you would achieve a greater amount of cooling. I realize that's not possible with all types of systems. Also, I found that as my greenhouse became full, the humidity naturally stays in the 70%-80% range. Also great camera work. I should take lessons!
