In mid 60's were a number of border's conflicts with heavy armaments and numbers of troops, in one point the Soviet leaders were thinking of going nuke's strikes because Soviet Union couldn't handle heavy human casualties (at that point had 4 times less population and had suffered heavy losses in WW II).
At that point the US stepped in to approach PRC to break the communists.

from a strategic standpoint Russia is a juicy target, China is heavily reliant on importing its fuel and natural resources. There is plenty in Siberia and Russia is in a weakened state due to the Ukraine conflict. Just saying if this where a strategy game that would be my move .

Well China becoming the “Sole Rival” to the U.S just means that the US would only need to focus on China as a rival superpower in turn, and thus divert time, manpower and resources normally aimed at curtailing Russia to curtailing China instead.

For you information, there is no more territorial disputes between China and Russia. Both had finalised their borders and signed the Sino-Russia Border Treaty in 1991.

China did not send lethal aid to Russia YET as Russia can handle the Ukraine war on its own. The West just want to find a reason to accuse China of directly involving in the war and both Russia and China knew that!

not fully true about how Russia relies on China. China is in high demand for oil and Russia is selling oil to them for a cheaper price than usual western country prices
