ACER PREDATOR HELIOS 300 Some keys not working FIXED!

My Acer laptop suddenly lost function in a few keys. I found a solution and wanted to share.

Definitely helped! Had the same issue with the battery connection.
All my keys are now working (not correctly) but, working.
I'll try pulling the cable again, cleaning and retrying 👍

LOL man, so obvious, yet THIS WAS MY PROBLEM. I just couldn't find out why 3-4 keys weren't working anymore unless i pushed the frame around my keyboard. One of those tabs was up (open). Thanks!

Thanks a lot! Some of my keys weren't working. But they are working now because of you!! Can't believe this worked!

*Update: It didn't work. I think battery might be causing the issue, maybe battery is dying or something, or maybe keyboard does needs replacing.

Great video for pointing out this specific problem! I'm having the same problem with my 'z' and Windows key. The connector you pointed out was definitely loose, but when I pushed it back in, the same two keys still don't work. Any chance there's a video of the other end of the connector (keyboard side) or how to access that? Curious if that could also be loose.

ive been having my esc, q, f3, f5, f6, and f7 keys quit working. i just dont like opening laptops so ive been trying to avoid this but i think youre right about my problem.

I have a Acer Laptop from 2010 and some of my keys stop working.- Thats a shame Acer hasn’t fixed that clip problem in 10 years. I guess it’s the scam of sending the computer in to get a new keyboard

Is it same with my PREDATOR 15? My letter "M" is not working..i use only on screen keyboard to type here.. :(
