Billy Burke is so good at playing so many great characters

One of my favorite Major Crimes fics focusing on Rusty based on the writers saying this season's theme will be Courage has Rusty get kidnapped by Stroh at college. He stands up for himself against Stroh telling Stroh that he's been making his own destiny since he chose to call 911 and not run while Rusty has changed Stroh's due to his obsession with him. He's eventually rescued by Fritz, Andy and Amy and Andy kills Stroh. The story also focuses on Rusty getting romantically involved with a cop he met while under protection from Stroh. Rusty finally tells the cop Eric the truth about his past and is fully accepted. The story ends with Rusty taking Eric to meet his family which connects with a Shandy story where Rusty and Eric are a background couple.

Well I was right: after this scene I always suspected that it would come down to Stroh and Rusty. And it did: Rusty was the one who killed Stroh in the end.

Stroh saw his own death..knowing..as he said I can't see that far ahead ( his run coming to and end)..."heaven knows"...deaths design...

In a way Stroh was right about them changing each other's destinies again: Rusty changed Stroh's a final time by shooting him dead in the series finalie.

I read somewhere that the Stroh storyline is over: he fled the country and even if he comes back they got him on the judge's murder so Rusty doesn't have to testify anymore. I hope not, I want to see a resolution to this whole thing. Particularly with Sharon or Rusty killing the bastard.

The whole we're going to affect each other's destinies thing makes me think the show is aiming towards it ending up with Rusty having to be the one to kill Stroh in the end. Sounds too much like Harry Potter. You know "in the end one of them will have to kill the other."
