Just a tiny nitpick: lore-wise the Slayer would not need a sword to ramp up his battle damage, he would simply go berserk with his fists... RIP AND TEAR! But yes if we are staying closer to the combat in the games then bringing some big-ass guns and swords does help him in battle.

As long as the core precepts of the Doom Slayer are honored: " Unbreakable, Incorruptible, Unyielding " - and the occasional ripping and tearing of mega-enemies with his bare hands - I'll consider this accurate 😁
