That is right, also, each driver(speaker) will be smaller, so even if they would have had the same price per speaker, they wouldn't be able to give the same quality in audio.

I could see a use for the 9H headset, having a stand alone mic is good for recording but it does get it the way when gaming sometimes. Would be interested in seeing how the 9H compares to a normal closed headphone

Yes you can. A pair of Sennheiser headphones and a clip-on zalman mic and it's perfect.

I fell in love with my Yamaha's EPH 100, now I'm saving money for a HPH 200. I've never seen any ads from Yamaha on headphones or earphones, that's because they spend money on making the product better, not making it look better for sale...

I agree with you on this. I bought the zalman mic with mine but ended up getting rid of it because I didn't like the quality. Spent the extra cash on a ModMic and the headphones/mic are great together. Those paired with my Astro Mixamp trump any "gaming" headset I ever owned.

I really like the look of the Elite, but with those extra padded ear-cups I'm curious how the breath-ability of the cups are effected.

Is this compatible w consoles such as the 360 and x1. I know the x1 has a new connection port for mice but they should make an adapter.
