Показать описание
Have you heard about the dog who became a World War II hero? Gander, a Newfoundland dog, was originally a family pet before being given to the Royal Rifles of Canada. He accompanied the soldiers to Hong Kong in 1941, where he played an important role during the Battle of Hong Kong. For his courage, Gander was posthumously awarded the Dickin Medal, honoring his sacrifice and the lives he saved.
