I still find I have to ream out the copper, because if I don't, a weird inner or outer lip will form, and that's not good. Still like the tool. Either that or I need a more powerful drill.

Makes sense I bet most mini-split line sets are made with this tool. DIY installer using 8" wrench no way to torque to 40 lbs with small wrench for 1/2 line. Unless they use a torque wrench never going to seal.

Easy pass for me, I will do it the right way the first time with an eccentric flare tool. I predict minimal contact surface due to angle miss match and with likely scoring on the contact surface, plus an erroneous Torque reading provided from having to use the nut to form the connection. Fast = Failure, Slow = Success & Experiences is the Key!
