"The Rig in 10 seconds" : It was the biggest waste of my time and acting talent I have seen in the past two years. Which is saying a lot with all the movie/season failures in recent memory...

The premise of The Rig was great, but the execution was underwhelming. They should've played up the claustrophobia and paranoia. There's a couple of casualties but nowhere do you get the sense that the main crew is in any real danger. The CGI looks unconvincing. It would've looked more compelling had they shot it on an actual oil rig, but CGI is cheaper (and safer) I guess. Most of the actors are great, but Calvin Demba -who has an important role- just doesn't have the chops. He seems more fit for soap opera.
