Live here in Knoxville, TN and no, they aren't Chinese lanterns lol. There has never been lanterns of any kind flown here and this is the great TN valley and to get in this valley, this low, you would have to come across the Cumbland mountains from the west and the mountains just to the east. The valley here is only about 50 miles wide. So not an ideal place for any balloons or lanterns to fly. And no one here would or has launched lanterns. Secondly, these aren't anywhere near the ground, let alone 400 feet or lower. These appear to be very high up, and as you know, anything flying high even that appears to be floating along could actually be moving very quickly. We have an airport with national guard here as well so we are used to seeing craft and planes of all kinds, this isn't that.

I believe there's a key flaw in the reasoning that they're here to "observe" us. These orbs or UAPs or whatever you wish to call them have been reported since antiquity, and there is no way they would need that much time, no matter on what scale you think time exists for them, to observe a species that is simplistic compared to them. Instead, think of a referee in a wrestling match who remains poised around the two wrestlers in the grappling match, keeping track of their fight, observing them and the progress of their rounds, never interfering in the match itself and making sure the two participants abide by the rules of the game and don't end up killing each other. That's what it looks like to me that these orbs and the consciousness behind them is doing on earth.

When I was 13 years old I was playing with a friend in my front yard about 8 o'clock at night and we looked up right above the treetops maybe 100' off the ground and there were 6 huge red lights floating along about as fast as a person walks. These lights were about 25-30 feet in diameter and they were flying in formation 2, 4, 6, and they were completely silent made no wind or vibration or anything. We were astonished and stood there with our mouths hanging open, it's hilarious when I think about it now. After a few minutes they passed out of sight at the end of the street and it was like we snapped out of a trance or something and he looked at me and said, do you think we should tell someone? Well, my family members did not believe in ufos and mocked people who claimed to have seen one and especially made fun of "abductees", so I knew if I ran into the house and claimed that I had seen a ufo they would have called me a liar so I didn't say anything to anyone about this.
That was 55 years ago and since then I've only told about 5 people what I saw that night one of which is my son. I was always afraid people would call me names but now I'm so old I don't care what people believe about me. I feel lucky to have seen something so unbelievable and fantastic. I have no idea what it was, but I know what it wasn't. I walk outside some nights and look up at the night sky and hope I could see this mysterious thing one more time before I die.
