You don't have to actully jump to teleport with the jackal, in your options just find the button for mount action 2(I belive that is what it's called) and rebind it

Jumping on Jackal slows it down. So pressing the hotkey to teleport would make it faster than Raptor. Also, Jackal can teleport uphill unhindered, whereas Raptor bumps into the terrain.

Jackal is faster than raptor in most map since they can teleport uphill, while Raptor got stop mid way
