This is extraordinary choral music. Tonu Korvits is brilliant and cool. I also love the recording by the Choir of Royal Holloway, London. This music is unusually poetic, with exotic melodic sounds new to the American ear. I have noticed that this work is more and more performed by US choral ensembles and this makes me happy.

This is a long listen, but the various parts of it are so dramatically different you really need to listen to it all to grasp fully what it is all about.  Hearing this at 3 AM on NPR just about blew me away!  I've ordered the CD from Amazon.

"Nüüd ole Jeesus, kiidetud" has a melody so good that it could be used as a soundtrack for a joyful canadian movie.

If Sid Meier's Civilisation would add Estonia as a civilization this would definitely be a good theme for Estonia

Saw this performed live this week by a choir from Estonia and the Symhony Orchestra Flanders. Quite enchanting, yes, pun intended.

Since I first heard this work a few weeks ago, I've been totally obsessed with it. The subtlety and power of the writing and performance is amazing.

The last movement of this piece may be the most touching piece of music ever written.

I saw the USM orchestra and choir perform this at Main Street Baptist in Hattiesburg in May 2014, together with Koppel's Marimba Concerto no. 1.
Altogether, it was a wonderful evening.

I caught some of this this past weekend on NPR's "With Heart and Voice" broadcast and I nearly sat bolt upright. So passionate. (I am partly Estonian, which also is why I took interest.) Definitely want to seek this out.

The Burlington Choral Society (Burlington, VT) sang this, along with several other Estonian pieces in November 2015.

Kreek's Notebook was especially stirring: Challenging and complex. It was a joy to sing under the leadership of our directorr Richard Riley.

The melody at the beginning of "Ma vaatan ules maele" reminds me of the soundtrack of "Titanic".

Wonderful and transcendent.  Woke up to this on Music Through The Night.  Is this from a cd or dvd that I can purchase?

Someone can say who is the author of the paintings (illustrations) ou every part of this fabulous music?

Is mastering it so quiet the only way to get the dynamic range desired? If so, cool. If not, why is it mastered that way?

Stunning music but the fellator interrupts the music with his greedy commercials.
