If the two albums were released three or four months apart I would say this is a legitimate allegation but actually Layover was released 8th of Sept and Taemin shot his album photos in Los Angeles in September 2-4. Also even if teaser pics were released mid August - do you think its possible to plan an album, prep full wardrobe, do location research, multiple location hires, select days for suitable weather, book flights&accom for tens of staff in 2wks? No 💁‍♀️ Taemin's been preparing this album since
APRIL. Yes the visual concept might look similar but the production dates are WAY too tight for ANYONE to credibly argue that it was plagiarised. YALL DONT KNOW HOW LONG IT TAKES TO PUT AN ALBUM TOGETHER. In all the content in this album taemin is paying homage to his past 15yr career making references to View, Sherlock, Want, Ace etc. by recreating his iconic photos and scenes from those eras.

I only have one thing to say - go look at the teaser video that was released yesterday. It was shot on the 9-11th of Sept with a visually consistent concept (clothing etc) to the jacket photos that ppl are saying “copied” V. If you see it you will know what i mean when i say Taemins concept cant be a “quick haphazard” arrangement of stolen concepts and visuals from other idols cause the concept is freaking so multilayered

Next to SHINee, BTS is my favorite group. I am a SHAWOL and ARMY.
First of all, V’s Layover was announced on Sept 8. Taemin’s album was announced on Oct 10. Do they think that SM/Taemin would be able to copy V’s album in a month’s time? So incredibly dumb.
Second, try taking a look at Taemin’s “SOLO” discography. Taemin has had a SOLO career since Aug 2014. Do they really think that Taemin needs to copy V’s FIRST SOLO album? And do they think that Taemin needs to compete against V? For those deeply ignorant ARMY, when it comes to VOCALS, DANCE, “SOLO” CONCERTS, number of full albums and mini albums, number of songs he has in his discography, Taemin is on another level at this point in time. So dont compare V to Taemin. V has publicly stated that the reason why he considered being an idol is because he watched Rain and SHINee when he was young. So to those ARMY accusing and complaining about Taemin copying/plagiarizing V, shame on you- y’all are an embarrassment to ARMY and BTS. This is funny. And I thought the floating in the pool thing was supposed to be from NewJeans's ASAP but really wasn't. Girl's Generation's Party, Weki Meki's Tiki Taka, Twice's Happy Happy, April's Now Or Never, and Oh My Girl's Real Love had people floating in pools and/or on pools. And the brown colored mvs and/or coloring schemes from NewJeans's Ditto and NewJeans's Cool WIth You but really were in other works before then like AKB48's Aitakatta and Stephanie Poetri's I Love You 3000 and Shoujo S's Scandal, Ram Jaane Title Track, and possible earlier songs from Britney Spears and/or Spice Girls and or Fifth Harmony's Work From Home. It seems to be the way the camera captured the footage in some of the 80s 90s and early 2000s Japanese, Indian and American songs made the scene look brown.

To those who are concerned did you guys see the teaser photos in the Shinee YouTube channel? If you see them you will totally understand that they are different concepts. (Since I can't send pictures, I will just described some photos that people have problems about.) In the first comparison Taemin is wearing a cap, it is street style, it's normal to wear a cap. On the other hand V is wearing a cap while wearing a suit, normally it does not match but it's more for an editorial feel. V is posing in the sink with close arms while Taemin is in the kitchen stove with open arms. Taemin and V are swimming which is really common. Taemin's concept is reminiscent of the Odd album, one of Shinee's significant works.

Again box packaging is really common even before V use it. V has a mailbox concept while Taemin has a shoe box concept. If you are worried about the brown color then I will say that Mamamoo did it before, parcel style. The receipt is common after all it is a shoe box concept. The elbow pose and side view is a typical Taemin pose. He always has a melancholy pose in his album N.G.D.A Act 1. Next the cap, when someone wear a cap it's normal to hold it to emphasize you are wearing it. It's a simple model pose.

Other than that, F(x) where pink tape is used is Shinee's sister group. It is known even before that they have similar vibes, they are both experimental groups by SM. Instead of focusing solely on the commercial aspect of the album, it focuses on the artistic aspect. It is mainly influenced by Min Hee Jin. Shinee's laid back music and concept has always been the specialty of shinee.

Lastly if some of you seen the picture of BigBang and Shinee that BTS allegedly copied, you will notice that if you make a collage of certain pictures with the same angle, color and radiant. It is easy to convince someone of plagiarism even if you analyze it, it's totally different. I respect V as an artist and I know that BTS is close with Shinee. Until recently some people are spreading the wrong title track like V- slow dancing, Taemin- fast walking. Some accounts deleted their post but there is someone who is purposely creating a rift. I hope you guys think about this situation again. Look for the teaser in Shinee YouTube channel to get the vibes of the album.
