So there’s this incredible Los Angeles guitar player called Mason Stoops. He’s a top session guy, and has an incredibly creative mind and a unique and tasteful approach to guitar playing and pedals.

We were looking for a place to host our PickUp Show in Los Angeles, and very generously, Mason offered to host us. What an absolute champion. Little did we know, Mason had rigged his house with six plus amplifiers including a bass sub speaker under the stairs. They were all connected to a centralized pedal board, where he performed a loop-based piece for about 15 minutes.

We hope our video by Merrick Winter below gives you a glimpse into this totally unique performance. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, for sure.

Mason Stoops is an LA-based session and touring guitarist known for his thorough knowledge of historical and contemporary instruments and effects. He has played with singer Brynn Elliott and composed for major cable TV shows.
