They FINALLY Motorized the Main Camera!

Sometimes the interesting smartphones dont even come to the USA! Today we are durability testing the BRIGHT ORANGE Phantom X2 from Tecno. The Phantom X2 has a motorized main camera that theoretically helps provide hardware bokeh to portrait images. However... I have my doubts about it actually being functional.

2:48 It is in fact not the world's first retractable main camera. Only the world's first retractable portrait camera. :D When you said that I immediately thought of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom.

My guess for the purpose of the retractable lens is a tiny bit more space from the sensor so the 3D portrait photos are extremely precise in their depth perception. I guess we'll see in the teardown, though.

I would like to see innovation for optical zoom as extension device attachment with NFC capabilities. Either, they can think to put only large sensor on back with removable optical camera for normal people usage and for professional, same sensor can be used for large zoom.

There is no need for the motorized camera seems the ones in charge of design team and camera team did their parts on their own and mesh them together like students with a project that is finished in class hahaha
