Scott Pelley reports on the pioneering technology of quantum computing, a new kind of computer that could answer impossible questions in physics, chemistry, engineering, and medicine.

"60 Minutes" is the most successful television broadcast in history. Offering hard-hitting investigative reports, interviews, feature segments and profiles of people in the news, the broadcast began in 1968 and is still a hit, over 50 seasons later, regularly making Nielsen's Top 10.

The problem is it's not reliable yet. When you do quantum computing you get what's called quantum noise. Basically the quantum computer in theory should be able to compute all the way down to smallest atoms. Basically the hardest calculations a normal computer can't do a quantum computer can do it within seconds. Quantum noise proves it still needs work.

Ditch the electron in the q-bit and substitute holding the data state in the Dielectric field instead. The problem of the requiring cooling to near zero state goes away.

Is the idea that this will eventually be compatible with A.I. ? Or is the idea that it will be a integrated circuit with one specific purpose?

Let's give these machines a new generic name: QUMPUTERS. Much better than the tongue twister 'Quantum Computers'!

What comes to mind with me is what about quantum tunneling? Heisenbergs uncertainty principle? How is the nature of this over come?

I can imagine a time where quantum computers are the norm and are standardized in society. Look at how traditional computers were introduced and look at us now. Many of us have one in our pockets. The exponential growth of technology and humanity as a whole is fascinating, exciting, and terrifying to be honest.

They’re actually seeking to unlock God’s knowledge. Can never be fully accomplished. There will always be that missing piece that only God has the answer to. And in acknowledging that nature is creation, there is a Creator.

Quantum needs a heart, maybe it has no heart, maybe no hands either, pass the butter, toss some salt, how is the steak. The thermostat is too low. Look what the devil made.

Thats huge hardware we will workout for smart machine its Brain will be a smart chip (Quantum compuiting) hardware(smart digital Circuts) +AI (Machine Language/Programming) thats magical combination will change the world how computers will work in futuer. What we expect from that combination will provide solution of complicated problems the world facing now a
