Let my story of almost getting snowed in be your reason for getting a snowblower for your tractor instead of a plow truck. This episode tells why I got rid of my plow truck and bought a snowblower for my John Deere tractor, and why you should, too. Also includes instructions on how to adjust the snowblower for gravel driveway and concrete slab.

That's is a great set up you have there. I've been plowing my 1/4 mile acreage road for 18 years now and just recently built a snow blower truck (van). Although the plow was no slouch by any means, it was getting to expensive to get parts for it and I'm getting to old to crawl around under it at 30 below to work on it. I use to plow my field road 30 feet wide because of the snow drifts that would blow in overnight and end up with a 10 foot wide road by the morning light. Now the plow had a 12 foot wide 3 foot tall blade, but it wasn't a fast machine...I mean really how fast can a combine go...lol. Chains on the wheels and a heated cab made it barrable, but pushing back 3 and 4 foot drifts and banks after they've stuck to the ground was getting to hard on the old girl, and 2 years ago she decided to let me know it didn't want to do that any more. Now the blower van runs great throws snow 50 to 60 feet and no more banks and all I can say is I should have built this rig 18 years ago.

Approximately how much was the snowblower and how does it hook up to the tractor? Does not look like it uses quick attach like my bucket and my grapple? Is it difficult to hook up?
