BMX Bike Restoration - Old School Raleigh

This bike restoration video is a retro Raleigh Aero Team Styler Old School BMX. Im sure for many this will bring back some great childhood memories.

See the BMX bike completely stripped down, restored repainted then rebuilt like new, before being taking out for a ride for some fun around a track.

I'm hoping this video inspires you to Recycle a Bicycle you may once had.
I've had so much fun doing this restoration and what better way to cycle then on a Recycled Old School BMX Bicycle.

I just bought a 1979 Raleigh R10 400. Very nice condition for its age. You did an awesome job on your bicycle!

Gorgeous !!!
I love these old school bmx bikes!
i know BMX from my youth ... we were real heroes! In contrast to today's young people who are always sitting at the computer and messing up their lives ..! We had a great time .. 80 ziger was really COOL ... thanks to E.T Film, without this film BMX would never have been a success. Boys ... we grew old - so what ... we experienced and we were outside a lot ... even if we have a few scratches ..: D
Greetings from Germany :)

Talk about a trip down memory lane. I always wanted one of these but my parents couldn’t afford one. I had a hand me down Raleigh Striker from my cousin, and it weighed about as much as a small car, so I could never keep up with the bmx lads.

I bought a super tuff2 frame off a friend 2 years back. I built it up and turned myself into a 10 year old again magic Lol.. Great vid and an excellent result. I actually met Andy Ruffle as a kid when he was racing he such a nice chap.

These were what everyone wanted back in the day. It´s awesome to see this BMX restored. Now it is back to full glory and ready for some freestyler bunny hops and 360° stunts.

My mate had one of these, only skyway mags, dia compe brake, tange grips etc great bike. Not sure if he still has it but seeing this one brought back some good memories. Nice job Andy 🤜🏼🤛🏻

Glad to see you are mixing it up with a bmx. Stunning finish . What always amazed me about bmx bikes is how badly made some of the components were made, pressed steel cranks, very poor brake calipers, bottom bkts etc . Even on the 'better' bikes.
