I read Wes Moore’s book, “The Other Wes Moore”. Opened my eyes on so many things I wasn’t aware of for someone who didn’t grow up in the US. I have huge respect for him, and I’m glad to see him still working hard to improve his city.

Just don’t change the name of the bridge (heard rumors). It’s our history. Please.

They didn't reopen the bridge! They did the ez part and cleared the channel that is not opening the bridge.

Unfortunately, it’s going to take a lot more than reopening a bridge for Baltimore to be “back”, but this is certainly good news.

Excellent news. Bridges take time to build but reopening the port and the waterways in 11 weeks is probably a record. Good job. Thank you Governor Moore and thank you President Biden. Keep on moving forward and rebuild that bridge.

23 schools in Baltimore had ZERO students that could pass grade level math or reading. ZERO STUDENTS 😳😳

Engineers caught weaknesses on Seattle's West Seattle Bridge thankfully before any catastrophic failures. The bridge was closed 2-1/2 years. Yes, traffic was a mess but we all survived. So will people in Baltimore and it sounds like their bridge will be replaced in shorter time than Seattle's was repaired.

Now if they could concentrate on their education for the students would be great.

None of the students at 40% of Baltimore’s public high schools tested proficient on the state math exam given this past spring. At 13 of the school district’s 32 public high schools, 1, 295 students of the 1, 736 who took the exams scored a 1 out of 4, meaning they were nowhere close to proficiency. 🤷

Baltimore’s children are not “back.” Project Baltimore found 40% of Baltimore City High Schools where the 2023 state exam was given, did not have a single student score proficient in math. But that's not the only alarming finding we made. In those 13 high schools, 1, 736 students took the test, and 1, 295 students, or 74.5%, scored a one out of four.
