I have seen some tests where going below base (100<) will actually results in some slightly better image quality.
But there's probably a caveat somewhere.

fun fact: the sony a7s3 as double naitive iso : 100 and 12800. That mean when you shoot in low light, set the iso at 12800 actually give lower noise than iso 10000

Help me understand how you shoot your YouTube Shorts. Like mic & camera placement. How do you sound so crisp ?

Please make one another shorts for beginners ❤

With the 50D that I use you basicly need to use the expanded ISO to get a shutter speed faster that 1/6 at night without the flash. Yes, the photos look absolutely horrible, but it's better than having your image be a smear.

I usually fiddle around with my camera settings in my free time, and i found out that when im shooting my video keeps getting grainier until ISO 1600, at ISO 1600 it somehow outputs same amount out grain as ISO 800, then same happens at 3200 and again at 6400, at each of these points it acts same as ISO 800 but brighter. But if it is not 1600, 3200 and 6400, the ISO behaves normal more the ISO more Grain you get. i have R6 ii.

I’ve only ever found myself using the low ISO settings for wildly long exposures

I need ISO tips. Some say to just do auto as it will choose the correct ISO, but sometimes I feel like its to high and the picture looks too bright and I can bring it down a bit more by manually doing it. Not sure.

Do you believe in under or overexposing a shot?

I shoot manual and use the ISO for exposure.

It's interesting mate I use 50 ISO on my camera sometimes just to manipulate shutter speed. If I'm doing a Long Exposure I can sometimes do a Long Exposure without an ND filter And it does be proven to increase sharpness in photos. There was a guy on YouTube. He would know Tony Northcott who did a video on using the lowest ISO possible and then comparing the images and I'm a convert to shooting 50 so for landscape photography and I'll be very specific around that that it benefits landscape photography, but I wouldn't use it for shooting portraits or other, and yes I teach Photography and very experienced as well just so you know

I remember the time when I worked as a part time photographer with zero knowledge about DSLR cams. Don’t even know what ISO means, AP, or even the effin’ “f”. All I know is A for automatic and M for Manual, and twisting the lens get you zoom. LOL
