FOX5 SURPRISE SQUAD: Struggling Mom Falls to Knees After 'Life-Changing' Gift from Santa

Stephanie Rivera of Las Vegas lost her mom, at age 7 and never knew her dad. Growing up and losing family members, one after another, kept Stephanie homeless all of her childhood.

Now, this young hardworking mom, with a blended family, has scratched her way back from nothing ... but still struggles especially during the holidays.

So, the FOX5 Surprise Squad teams up with Santa to pay Stephanie an unexpected visit and deliver her some “life-changing” Christmas cheer!

Being a single Dad of 2 myself with little to no family support, not even their mother who might I add does absolutely nothing for them since I first gained full custody of them 4 yrs ago. I must admit I've struggled many of days to keep a roof over our heads, and experiencing the toughest financial year of my life, getting laid off without any notice, car breaking down, all within months this past summer. I can't lie these stories give me hope that these tough times are temporary and as long as I continue to be a great father to my children, stay positive, and continue to better myself God will definitely make a Bless this family and continue to cover this family in the blood of Jesus Christ.

I am a single mom if 5, just entered my senior year of college, it took me forever, I’m 40, and it took a lifetime but next fall I will be a drug and alcohol counselor.
