You mentioned a video on the surrounding suburbs… great! I’ll keep a look out for that video! Looking into the area for work and just curious on the areas. (Coming from out of state) 😊

moved myself, my wife and kids to Fargo 2 years ago from california.. now planning to move to moorhead or dilworth after this winter.. here vs cali, i will never want to live in cali again. i love the cold. i love seasons. something i never seen. it was always dry heat. couple min of rain every few months. high rent prices for the crappiest places.. getting out of an apartment into a house, felt unrealistic out there.. out here, that dream is alive and very possible to do. yard for my dogs and kids to play.. witch we have never had.. i can not wait for that time.. until then, we are in an apt. but so much cheaper then cali.. 2000/month for 2bed apt in the "jungle" what we call gang turf. bad areas. dangerous areas. horrible apartments. here im paying 680 for a lrg 2bedroom apt in a nice area. feels so good after growing up in cali, never thinking or feeling we would ever be able to find an affordable house to rent... now that feeling has changed.. its possible out this way. all with a flip of a coin.. we wanted out of cali.. it was either North dakota, heads.. or North Carolina, tails.... and so here we are.. fargo north dakota to make a future for our kids on this side of the world... i miss my mom, sister, her kids as their all still in cali.. but we needed something different. and now, i cant wait to see what we can do out here vs cali..

Love it. Boston roots heah, but a lot of my life here in Colorado. Love hockey, played it for over 20 years and I know Minnesota would be a great place to live for anyone who plays hockey! Of course.
The problem is I'm 63 and I don't know anyone who lives there.
All the Minnesotans I know live here in Denver! Lol.

Some say “cold & aloof” and “passive aggressive” — but I see that as “freedom from small talk with nosey neighbors.” I recently bought a house in Minnesota and it’s wonderful not having to interact with people unless I want to. One of my nextdoor neighbors has NEVER spoken to me. I’m like YES! Please don’t engage with me unless it’s important. 😅 ❤

(Her husband is very friendly and kind tho.)

There's more to Minnesota than the twin born and raised on the Iron Range, lived and worked in the cities for 10 years. I'll take living up north every time.

I was like "ew mosquitos" and then I realized I'm Floridian 😆the snow... will be interesting to deal with though... I hope I'll be able to walk to work to avoid having to deal with driving places

oh man, the traffic thing... I lived in Florida most of my life where traffic is absolutely atrocious - living in Minneapolis now and the traffic here is NOTHING! I always laugh when I hear people complain about it because they honestly have no idea.

You mentioned St Paul being a little more lowkey, I'm looking at different neighborhoods but am not from the area. Could you recommend some areas around St. Paul that would feel similar to Brooklyn Park or New Hope?

I’ve been living here my whole life, if you live around here you already know everyone has the blue plastic winter snow shovels 😂

Weather isn't the problem, having the wrong clothing and gear is the problem 🇺🇲

I'm mostly from MN. LIve in Green Bay. GRB is the city most like MN. Low rents/home prices, TONS of higher paying jobs, good schools, no traffic, lowest crime in the US. GRB may have a better ratio of good jobs to housing costs, vs MN. GRB is actually a bit south of the Twin Cities, and has better winter weather: Less cold, less snow, and more sunny days. Minnesota is the best state, and their Lake Country is amazing. Green Bay may be a good choice, so include it when looking at Minnesota. It is only about a 4 hour drive from the Twin Cities and Duluth. Use your Free Will to LOVE!...it will help more than you know
