My name is Valerie Patton. I am a physician assistant working at Norton Women's and Children's Hospital. A hospitalist PA is someone who takes care of you while you're in the hospital. If you have to stay overnight, I'll be there to help take care of you. I enjoy being part of the healing process for patients, getting to see you get better, getting to serve you while you're there while you're sick. I also really enjoy being part of educating patients about their health.

When you come in and are admitted to the hospital, I'll be there for the admissions process when you're coming in and get to see you through that. And I'll be there to answer questions, talk with you, make sure you understand what's going on, talk with your family and help you feel comfortable during your stay help, help you make sure that you're well cared for and hopefully we can get you ready to go soon.

As a hospitalist PA, I am there to make sure we know what's going on with you, and also to help make you feel comfortable during your hospital stay. I want you to understand what's going on, and I want to be there for you and for your family through that process. I want to just be one who serves and loves while you're in a situation that you probably did not plan on being in. It can be difficult to be in the hospital, but we want to make your stay as comfortable as we can while we take care of you.

I am from Shelbyville, Kentucky. I went to PA school at the University of Kentucky College of Health Sciences. For fun, I love taking my two dogs on walks around in the woods, hiking, and I enjoy music, playing the violin. I also spend a lot of time with my church family.
