Fast Radio Bursts traced to spiral arms of several galaxies by Hubble

When I was in the navy we’d occasionally, at night, hear a static sound hit all of our comms. Our comms were on several different frequencies and I was in the one room where there is practically a speaker for all of them.

I always found this strange because the same sound hit different channels at almost the same time despite the frequency. I always figured it might be something from space and that always fascinated me.

These FRB bursts are just doppler-shifted radio noise from commercial space freighters accelerating to lightspeed. The actual emissions are X-ray flashes, but the ships are moving away so fast that it gets shifted down into radio frequencies. Galactic ordinances require them to have suppressors on the drives but that's expensive, so there are a lot of shady Han Solo types out there with unsuppressed maindrives. (They're faster too. : )

"closer to understand the mysteries of the universe" how abt the ocean? the ocean is a lot more mysterious, universe is outside from our planet, researchers must first begin investigating parts of the ocean, for me it's a lot more dangerous compared to the universe since it's the closest to us humans
