when i try to get into download mode, my phone goes to a static screen after a few seconds. so lg up doesnt recognize it. im on vs995. any help?

Dear, I have network signal dropping/weak reception issue in LG V20 (H-918) T-mobile. Wi Fi signals fine. Actually the matter of fact is that when a goes an area where there isn't strong coverage, my phone goes in SEARCHING mode. No NETWORK although other smartphones of my friends same network showing 2 to 3 sticks in signal bars with me. What is this I mean. I am really irritated of it. Please help me out.
