It’s crazy how this song stays relevant no matter how old one grows..

Old music is the best. I'll be here next year too. It never dies.

Justin: is it too late to say sorry?
OneRepublic: it's too late to apologise.

The sad thing about life is when the person who gave you the best memories becomes a memory.

Man this song brings so many memories. I remember my mom picking me up from school and putting this song on. We would dance and sing along and once again replay it. She died 4 years ago but instead of this song bringing me sadness it brings me all the joy in the world.

"No texts? I understand
No calls? I understand
No time for me? I understand
When you see me with someone else, I hope you understand."

As soon as this song starts playing, it's instant goosebumps. OneRepublic was always one of my favorite groups, & this was the first song of theirs I knew. It's VERY nostalgic. Reminds me of when I was 14. I'm almost 30 now. Where did the time go? 😭

In elementary school, there was this boy who would always ask me to hit him and I would (softly ofc). Then he would ask me to apologize and when I did, he would begin to sing the "it's too late to apologize" part. It became like a thing for the both of us whenever we saw each other. Every time I hear this song, it automatically brings me back to the fifth grade and he comes into mind.

Edit: oh my god, I didn't think my comment would get so many likes, haha. Thanks! All your replies are very nice and wholesome 🌼

Edit 2: to those asking if we got together, its been years since ive talked to him. Im now out of high school and the last time i spoke to him was 5th grade so chances are he mightve forgotten about me. But oh well, some people just aren't meant to be together. Still wish him the best and everything tho :D

Edit 3: To everyone asking if I found him or not, the answer is yes I did. He has a girlfriend now :D I'm so happy that he does because he's a really great guy and he deserves the best. The memories we made together will always be my favorite and it'll always make me smile. I hope to anyone who reads this will be able to gather all their courage and ask out the person they like. Its better to get an answer than wonder your whole life if you had taken that step. :) xoxo

Edit 4: It's amazing how many people have so similar stories and I'm so happy to read them! A year later and they all still make me smile :)

Edit 5: Welcome to 2022 everyone! I genuinely hope great things come your way. I hope whatever it is you're needing appears in your life. Love, friendship, or even family.

This song hits different after a heartbreak

It's like that type of song.
When you're just broken up.
Driving in your car.
Trying to ignore the fact that the lyrics mean so much :P

"its too late to apologize"

God: "no matter how many times you keep sinning just ask for forgiveness and I will forgive you. whatever you did is gone and forgotten"
