Blake Lively Demands Judge Throw Out Justin Baldoni’s Lawsuit

Actress Blake Lively has filed a motion to dismiss as part of dueling federal lawsuits involving her co-star Justin Baldoni. She’s calling Baldoni’s amended complaint a “vengeful” attempt to silence her after she spoke out about alleged sexual harassment. Law&Crime’s Jesse Weber has the legal analysis.

She started this mess with the assumption that Baldoni could not fight back. She’s trying to shield her disgusting behavior behind a law that is meant to protect actual SA victims, not protect actresses that have hijacked a movie and tortured an innocent man, and THEN try to use a law to protect her bullying behavior. The court will see through her nasty behavior.

“Actual malice” as defined under California defamation law can easily be satisfied by evidence already released publicly by Baldoni. This is how “actual malice” is defined in this context:

-publishing a statement while either knowing that it is false; or

-acting with reckless disregard for the statement's truth or falsity.
