What its like to work at the USPS, also known as the post office, united postal service, and many other names!

This is my experience working at the USPS. Many consider the post office, as the BEST JOB if you have no college degree, and they might be correct. However at what price? In this video, I will be explaining my passion and my experience working at the united states postal service.

8:02 He did a great job describing what it's like to be a PSE with a few exceptions. First, overtime is not optional it is required when your a PSE. They can work you up to 12 hours 6 days a week, they can also move you to different job and different to different locations at any time without warning, and if the work slows down they can send you home without warning and put you on what it's called a retention list and leave you sitting at home without pay until they need you again. Also it took me 2 years to become career however it's taking some people three to five years or more. It just depends. Everything's done by seniority, you're put on seniority list and you get promoted based on your seniority. It could take you 3 years 5 years 10 years. All that being said it's a great job. Like any other job it's what you put into it. You can make a good living at the post office.

I was a PSE at the Statesboro post office and it was terrible. Most of the staff have horrible attitudes and they treat new hires very poorly. I would work around 60 hours a week and 6 days a week. My schedule would be 4:00 am or 5:00 am or 7:00 am until about 5:45 pm during the week. It was physical work, but the worst part was the bad employees. Most of them just have horrible attitudes.

Honestly, I just applied for PSE and I’m so nervous I’m not gonna be good at it/get burned out by it but this makes me feel hopeful :))

What's the difference between a PSE at a local post office and a PSE at a big warehouse? Thanks

Isn't it a conflict of interest, what company has its own union, paying their own employees to represent union members paying monthly $60 union dues, gaining no money for winning grievances, when you can, for free, file an EEO within 45 days of Usps offenses, winning up to $300, 000. for discrimination and up to $4 million for retaliation?
Past 5 years Usps paid out $5, 631, 795. for sexual harassment.
Usps union is complicit with Usps management, displaying patterns of unfair labor practices, racism, retaliation against whistleblowers, intentional infliction of emotional distress (IIED) and trauma, age discrimination in employment act of 1067 (ADEA), prohibited personnel practices, due process, disability act of 1990, and rehabilitation act of 1973 (504).
CYA!!!

I applied months ago to the USPS, forgot about it, then months later got the call for PSE this coming Christmas, seasonal only. I already got a job driving a box truck, that I have to load with 800 pieces of cargo, to the airport every night. I'm thinking of quitting for this seasonal job, is it the right choice?

I'm confused. The 15 minute breaks are combined after two hours of work. And then when does lunch come? After another 2 hours or after 4 hours, and then 2 hours left before you go home?

What are your chances of becoming full time if you're hired seasonal? Do seasonal get benefits?
