This is the best I've heard him sound in a long time. Last song I heard where he sounded this good was Justified from Sign of the Times.

if only Tate could have done this in queensryche instead of that adult contemporary band he turned them into he would still be in the band. this is a great track! Best he has sounded in years.

Geoff sounds pretty good here. Ghostlights is a well written album. Unfortunately, The Key was so mediocre throughout most of it's runtime that I have absolutely no hopes whatsoever for his future output. It's so weird though: Tate has been putting on good shows live recently but he's absolute garbage in studio while the Todd-led QR is playing it too safe live yet managed to put out the phenomenal Condition Human. Both sides are completely inverted as far as their strengths go since last year. What an odd world we live in...
