Lee Woodruff seems to live a charmed life. A contributing editor for “CBS This Morning,” author of three books and numerous articles, and mother of three children, she is also a co-founder of a foundation to help wounded servicemen.
In this interview with Skip Prichard, Lee talks about seven lessons of extraordinary resilience. She speaks from experience. Her husband, news reporter and anchor Bob Woodruff, suffered a traumatic brain injury while covering events in Iraq. Occurring only a month after Bob Woodruff succeeded evening news anchor Peter Jennings at ABC, the injury changed the Woodruffs’ lives.
In the interview, Lee talks about her perspective on life, the nightmare of her husband’s injury, her new book, and the difference between writing fiction and nonfiction.
