Concourt dismisses Zuma's recusal application

The Constitutional Court on Friday dismissed an application brought by former President Jacob Zuma for some of the Constitutional Court judges to rescuse themselves from hearing his case on whether or not he can contest the upcoming general elections. Zuma's legal team argued that six judges who were part of the bench that jailed him for contempt in 2021 could be biased towards him. #enca #dstv403

Mr Zuma was exercising his constitutional right by asking some judges to recuse themselves in this case...that they refused to recuse themselves is neither here nor there regarding the merits of the case that is before them...the good technical win of Mr Zuma here is that all those judges are now aware and are going to do their utmost best to apply the correct law in this case and make their decision based on the correct law...if the law favours Mr Zuma so be it...we are awaiting with abated breath as to what is/are their reason/s for refusal to recuse themselves because it was inevitable to avoid addressing or mentioning the judgment in Zuma case they were involved in during the discussions/debates of the applicant's appeal..and that was the reason why Mr Zuma had reasons to believe that there is a possiblility of apprehension of bias against them...

Zuma has avoided facing his trials for years by suing for anything and everything. If he is as innocent as he claims, he should have cleared his name by facing his trials head on and testified under oath that He never committed those crimes. There is no witchhunt here Jacob Zuma actually committed those crimes and should face the music just like anybody else . Everybody should be given equal treatment before the law.
