Mr. Gokey, I wanted to thank for this song and most importantly, God. I had listened to this song many times before like many other's I had saved. Then one day I just stopped and listened very carefully word for word and couldn't stop crying. I had married my high school sweetheart right after graduation and one year later planned our first child together. Everything seemed perfect until sometime later our daughter was born. Everything crumpled beneath me and sin had taken part of our marriage. As my husband and I had grew apart, I had grew closer to my Lord, Jesus. I was still young then and my marriage was still going no where. After years of pain and disappointment and little faith I had feel into alcohol abuse then eventually attempted suicide. Then one day at the age of 40, I had decided to get a tattoo ony face of 11 stars, as to show I was taking a stand in my life. But all I had really shown my family was, I had went stir crazy. I had always fought for my marriage from the beginning but realized I had to stop drinking in order to save it. I'm a recovering alcoholic of 13 years and counting. Now, when I look at myself, I see a scar as a reminder of what God has pulled me through and He tells my heart to beat again. My husband and I just celebrated our anniversary of 28 years . We go to church every Sunday with our 3 grandchildren and my husband is maturing and growing in the Lord everyday, as I. What really surprised me about this song was the person who made this video, LadyCatJ. Ironically, I'm known as the crazy cat lady in my community. But they say, your officially not crazy unless you have 3 or more cats. I have only 2, not including the one that got ran over or the one that ran away haha, little joke there. Seriously, I just wanted to thank you for this song because I felt like God was telling me He's still loves me, no matter what.

Oh dear man, what a blessing this song is to me! We just lost everything! Our home, precious heirlooms, family...ended up homeless, in a borrowed tent out in the middle of nowhere 1900 miles away with only what we could fit in our suitcases, three dogs and two miniature horses. What we could pack in a moving van in storage! Without the Lord, Being a disabled Veteran, I wouldn't have made it!!!! i felt like my heart just died! Afraid to feel anything. Unable to bear it! Now If live in a borrowed camper alone, my husband working three hours away, working to get us a place. It has been 4 months and God has been faithful! I am safe, my basic needs are met. He has sent angels to watch over me, I will praise Him in this valley, so thankful for His grace! But it has been hard! I found this song and it made me feel like someday I can tell my heart to beat again for I know Heaven is working for me! I am so sorry for you loss and pray the Lord's blessings for you! This song gives me hope as I am a cancer patient 7 times over I lost my pain management and in the battle of trying to find another, I heard this song and it gave me hope again and the strength to fight again. To always try to find the good in what was going on, to look past the pain and tell my heart to beat again 💔. It has not been easy for me to do this often thinking it would be easier to give up and have it all end. But then I think of what I want my children and grandchildren to remember about me, and that is never give up, so I return to this song alot to remind myself as long as I have God and my heart is still beating for now that is all I can ask. And one second at a time I will fight and continue to tell my heart to beat again.
Listening to your beautiful words and voice over and over helps me to fight every second of every day. Thank you for this it found me at a very dark time in my life, and showed me their is some light.

This song has just brought back to me the will to live again. I just found out that I was looking for peace at the wrong place. Am just rerunning the song again and again and realizing how wrong I was. I have realized that the solution is with me.

This song has brought me great comfort in the past few months. I had taken the final blow of betrayal from the father of my son; although I loved him, I never wanted myself and our children to be hurt by his unfaithfulness. That was when I heard this song for the first time. God was letting me know nothing touches my life without going through him first and he would see me through this.
