I’m Dr. Patrick Mahaney.

I have used acupuncture on my own pet. I completed the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) basic course (2006) and am now a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA).

I earned this certification after I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine (1999) and completed an internship at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, D.C (2000).

I make house calls with the emphasis on pain management through acupuncture and musculoskeletal therapy. I also advise on pet-safe environmental changes, recommend dietary modifications, prescribe medications, dispense nutraceuticals (supplements) and Chinese herbs, communicate with your regular veterinarian or specialist, and provide end of life care and euthanasia.
