I don’t know man, Black Loop up in Conover might hold the title of “toughest singletrack in Wisconsin.”

Tigerton sure is fun, though.

Man I love my Tdubs. Didn’t know you had one as well Swanky. Funny story for ya: so I’ve been filming and adventuring here in colorado for about a month and a half. When I first got here, I saw a guy who had two brand new TWs parked behind his class B in ironton(near ouray, co). Turns out he bought them so he and his wife could enjoy exploring together. Well, turns out the wife can’t ride at all. First time she went out, she broke a rib. Second time(going up corkscrew gulch switchbacks) she set it down in a switchback and broke an ankle.
Well, he REALLY wanted to go out and ride still so he offered me to use his TW(I unfortunately didn’t bring mine on this adventure only had my defender 6x6). So I said HELL YEAH! And got to put on a couple hundred miles on his brand new TW before he ended up selling both of them, convinced he needed more power and hated the fact that they are absolutely gutless. So…he decided the next best option would be an africa twin adventure DCT with some knobbies. I told him that’s a terrible idea because for what he’s looking to do (only off-road, everything but single track for some reason) it’s not going to end well because you’d have to be a badass rider to handle all that weight.
Well…after traveling 2000 miles, spending hundreds on fuel, wasting money on knobbies…he’s selling it after only two hundred miles on the bike.
All because he wanted to be able to go 10mph faster uphill.
He kept telling me I need to get a bigger bike than the TW….I told him that I knew exactly what I was getting into with the TW. I know they’re gutless. I know they have crap suspension. But they’re insanely capable, and tons of fun. Plus it is helping me develop off road skills that you can’t get by just jumping on a midsize ADV bike.
I’m working on getting a tenere 700 to start my ADV phase, and am really torn on whether I want to sell the TW or not to help with the cost of the tenere.
Anyways, just like your comment halfway through the video, I doubt you made it this far 🤣

Great video Swanky! What comms system are you using? Sounds really good.
I'm so jealous of your relationship with your Dad, I can't talk to mine for half an hour without getting into an argument, I wish I could do something like this with my dad.

Fun video to watch. I would have gone down several times for sure. What communicators do you guys use? Would be nice to talk like that while riding.

I loved every second of this! That trail was super interesting and very challenging, but you both just killed it. Congrats! And the fact that your riding buddy is your dad? Damn, that really gets me. Cherish these times...

Hello, just recently bought an 03 TW. 56 yrs old and getting back into some trail riding. I installed tusk 30mm risers but would like to raise the bars more (Possible another 2”). What handle bars would you recommend and would I need to do anything as far as cable lengthening? Also, I sure have enjoying watching your channel, you have a lot of good info.
