Outside of curiosity I doubt humans will want to inhabit other planets. Perhaps visit as tourists, or thrill seekers. Biospheres are great but if there were any malfunction or energy loss it would be devastating. The time it would take to travel, the preparations for that type of travel, expense etc would be more than most could or would afford.

In answer to the questions at the end about colonizing other star systems, when you look at the science behind interstellar travel it really seems unrealistic to support your claim that we will be able to do this in the next 100-200 years. We need to revolutionize how we travel before we can really visit other stars.

So really interesting info, but unfortunately the definition of 'what is a planet', doesn't include 'it's interesting', so those arguments don't mean it will be classified as one again. I think the reason it's not a planet now is it's gravitional effect is too low to clear it's own orbit path of material. But being like 1% the mass of earth would probably be why. If it got heavier (, stayed round and continued to orbit the sun), it would probably be a planet again.
