Let’s say you have a list of numbers in a column, and you want to add them up to get the total. Then
Type = sign , SUM ( type the cells you want to add. For example A2 : A10 or select on the range of cells you want to sum ) then hit enter. In just seconds you will see the total.

You can also change the range of cells and get a new total instantly by changing the cells' values.

Once the SUM function is working it doesn't matter if you change the value in any of the cells within the range. The SUM function will automatically recalculate the total.
