Used to really like raccoons and liked to watch them running around and being cute. Well not any more. I was away from my house for 2 months helping family and I get a call from a neighbor saying raccoons had torn a place in their roof and went to check my place and found the same. Came home to find out they got into my attic and into my house. They did almost $8, 000 in damage, mainly to my kitchen. We live in a subdivision backed up to a golf course with woods so we assume they came from there. Took animal control 3 weeks to catch and relocate them. Such a nightmare.

If anyone has this problem you can lay chicken wire over the top to deter them from digging up your sod. They are most likely just taking advantage of the free snacks underneath. They love worms and grubs!
