Wow! I wasn't expecting that! So the ARM version was running Geekbench 5 though emulation? And still beat Intel's arse? Imagine how fast they will be when devs start making all these apps ARM64 compatible!

It would have been better if you showed the task manager during the bench test.

Sorry for hijacking the comment section but how do you open the Samsung case to replace the battery? There are no visible screws underneath the Samsung.

The ARM single core performance is because when you are doing a single core task it usually happens on the main lower powered cores, then when it is doing a multicore task than it start using it higher powered cores. But if you were to have a task manager and were to manually set the task to one of the high powered cores you'll probably getting a higher rating in single core score.

Good vid - I am considering a Gen 3 Snapdragon laptop and I couldn't find a good video that compared the older generation snapdragons to a comparable intel cpu - this is literally a heads up of the same laptop :)

The intelcore uses 5 cores and thr arm uses 8 cores does that make a abig different on these laptops

Intel have 5 core, Snapdragon have 8 core, so that's why Snapdragron win multicore performance

can you make battery test comparison..in both real usage and in standby(sleep) mode...
and afaik 8cx version can take/receive skype call while in sleep mode similar to how we use our smartphones aka always connected....the question is can intel version do the same with their new big/little hybrid technology ?
is the i7 version any better from i5 that you tested ?

Hi,

Decent video thanks. I was wondering about battery. How does the battery compare? Does the Intel version have a fan?

Thanks

I wonder how will these handle light gaming, you know, indie titles, 2d platformers, old rpgs, emulation (ppsspp, pcsx2, etc).
