fun fact, zaun the name for the undercity in Arcane comes from the shuriman name of an ancient city, oshra va'zaun. Zaun was originally a shuriman settlement if im not wrong

u saw the brothers explained. the aligator was the one the excaped the tomb and the dog that looked like anubis is his brother, Nasus. Nasus was the narrator of the 2 told stories made of glas sculptures. Nasus couldn't save renekton from going mad, wich explaines why Nasus feels he has failed. Hence his word "my failure was complete"

Yes Azir resurrected because of Sivir's blood, she is a descendant of him. With save them all he meant the empire of shurima.

No, that "alligator" (I think it's a crocodile, but Idk really know how to differenciate them), the one the bad guy was riding is not the same as the one that appears shortly after. The one that appears after is Renekton, the one that escapes with Xerath in the video "descend into the tomb". And the one that narrated that story with Sivir and Azir is Nasus, the one that looks like Anubis, so those two are brothers. You may think how does an alligator can be the sibling of a dog, well, they were born human, but anyone that uses the giant sundisc to become an ascended, changes their form, and Renekton turned into a crocodile and Nasus into a jackal.

Azir and Nasus are good, Azir, the emperor, just wants to rebuild his empire's former glory, and Nasus's duty is to help the emperor (Shuriman ascended were like the top tier units in shuriman army, but most of them turned into darkin like Aatrox, for more read the story "Where Icathia once stood")

Like Nasus said when narrating, Renekton became mad while he was trapped with Xerath in the tomb (Xerath twisted his mind, making him think Nasus left him to die). Xerath was a slave that became the best friend of Azir since they were kids. When Azir became the emperor, on the day of his ascenscion ritual, Xerath, angry because his best friend Azir still let slavery exist in his empire, betrayed Azir (from what I know, Xerath was magically talented from the beginning), killing him, taking all the power from the sundisc for himself. In doing that, his body became pure arcane energy and the empire collapsed.

There's the teaser of Rek'sai if you haven't watched it yet, she is another champion from shurima, well technically she is from the void, she also appears in a LoR expansion trailer with Ekko, is called something like rise of the underworlds.

One thing I always enjoyed with Riot and their cinematics is how diverse the artstyles they choose are. The Azir one will always be one of my favourite with the glass mosaic. My man literally snapped back to reality and resurrected his whole kingdom.

The Runeterra video doesn't really do Nasus, the jackal guy, much justice - he's actually very gentle and wise, and currently rather depressed. He's the one narrating the previous cinematics.

originally was Shurima empire builded by Ascendents - those creatures inpired by old Egyptian gods...
Azir - Horus - falcon
Nasus - Anubis - jackal
Renecton - Sobek - crocodile

Actually Zaun is gateway into Shurima... Name Zaun is derived from people of Oshra Va’Zaun which originaly lived in this location... and history of Zaun and Shurima are tightly intertwined. =)

The girl in the first trailer you saw is Taliyah, she is pretty much an earthbender which is cool. She's got a few cinematics still where she's awesome in action.

fun fact: cassiopeia is Talon and Katarina's sister who are also champions. Talon isn't really related to katarina and cassiopeia he was adopted by their father. You can learn more about Talon and katarina in the new webtoon although Cassiopeia isn't involved that much she's only mentioned.

Noxus is not evil, every nation has good and bad people in it Cassiopeia is just one person from the largest nation on the map she can’t represent the whole of Noxus, Noxus is more so a neutral region like basically every region, sure they’re expansionists but they do offer mercy to people both with diplomacy and even after battle they spare basically all the prisoners and innocents and just indoctrinate them into the empire. Swain whose basically the leader of Noxus (it has 3 but Swain id probably a bit higher than the other 2) is literally working to try and defeat the black rose aka the cult who basically is behind all the problems in the world politically at least.

Cassiopeia turned into a snake woman from that bite...nasus is the narrator and while trying to lock away xerath he unfortunately had to lock in renekton his brother with him...renekton spent centuries locked away with xerath and slowly losing his mind because of xeraths mind tricks making renekton believe that his brother nasus is the bad guy.

The dog like creature is nasus and the alligator guy is renekton they are brothers....the gator that the guy ride on isnt a champion its just a type of creature that lives in shurima the other gator is a champion tho

I'm with you! I was never a fan of Shurima. I was never a huge fan of ancient Egyptian mythology, so naturally, since half of the champions and the general vibe of the region is practically copied from ancient Egyptian mythology, it didn't hold much appeal. There are a few cool champions from there, but even most of their champions in game seemed very basic, dull, and boring (there are exceptions on the basic part... I'm looking at you, Azir... one of the few champions I never got any good at).
