This is the best example I've ever seen of someone's heart just plummeting in fear.

So incredible character... when he grabbed the hand of the people he used that gest to sense their pulse, and know if the person is intimidated

When you realize "Au revoir" is more of a "see you later" than an actual "goodbye"

The announcement, the soldier immediately standing in attention, plus the music itself, all brilliantly depict the importance of Hans Landa. Seeing it in theaters scared the shit out of me

What makes him such a scary villain is you never know if he knows what you hope he doesn’t know.

this whole movie is just a masterpiece from the beginning scene to the credits

Love the fact that the scene starts with the most genuine joy at someone's arrival ever captured on film.

I like how Shosanna is looking up at the end, as if to say “you’ve got to be f*cking kidding me rn!”

A calm antagonist is more terrifying than death itself

That knocking sound of the soldiers boots when standing at attention is terrifying - I wish i got to experience it in a cinema

I live in the UK. Clapping at the end of a movie is NOT a thing. This is the only movie I’ve ever been to where there was spontaneous and rapturous applause when the credits rolled.

True Masterpiece.

The beating perfectly exemplifies when your heart is pounding so hard you can feel it in your eardrums

Christoph played him so well you didn't know what the character was going to do next and the amount fear he brought to people as soon as they saw him or he spoke.

This is the movie that made me realize movies are an artform. I was 13 when I first saw it in theatres with friends, two weeks later I saw it with a different group, and a week after that I saw it with my father. It is to this day the only movie I’ve seen in theatres more than once.

Just rewatched the movie. The actress did such an amazing job conveying the feeling that she was holding herself from crying. Impressive.

Truly one of the most deserving oscar wins ever. One of the all time greatest performances/portrayals ever put to film! Christoph Waltz, I applaud you 👏

Imagine escaping the horror of the killings of your family and then after all those years you finally meet the mastermind of the killings.
