It's unfair how good the French are at electronic music.

I'm just leaving this comment here. So that a month, a year, or a decade down the line if someone likes or comments on this thread, I can relive this song. Timeless.

there's so much of youtube I haven't explored yet.

I love how this music video portrays the more intimate, wondrous parts of life. Nobody else is around, it's just you and some inexplicable, magical event that years later you wonder if it even happened.

500 hours of video are uploaded to Youtube every single MINUTE. Keeping this in mind, we will die without ever watching 99% of what this site has to offer.
All this to appreciate how we all gathered here to witness this piece of art.

Have a nice day, stranger

I'm happy that I stuck around to live my life.

The French can't put together a rock band to save their lives but when it comes to electronic, that's a different story.

*Real* Lyrics:

Every time the lights are turning down
Then I try to close my eyes to see my hometown
I don’t want to change my life
I need to go back in time

I feel like a child
Wearing this golden crown
Why do I need to play with my mind?

The future and the past are really confusing
But I keep my feet on the ground to keep dreaming
I don’t want to change my life
I need to go back in time

I feel like a child
Wearing this golden crown
Why do I need to play with my mind?

(Note: these lyrics were given by French 79 to Martin Mey for his piano cover of Hometown so we know they are correct. Seems like the lyrics sites just guessed the words)

This song has a lot of potential to be used as soundtrack for the advertising of the arriving of 5G on your local network.

*I just noticed something!* At 4:30, the lights spell out "79" in binary:
0100 = 4
0010 = 2
1000 = 8
0001 = 1
0000 = 0
1111 = 15

4 * 2 * 8 * 1 = 64

And...

64 + 15 = *79*

The drawings the girl made probably spell out some message as well.

A few weeks ago. Woke up in my tent at first light, in the mountains of central France. Striked camp and got back into my car to continue the trip. Turned on the music. This came up as the car glided along the road, winding downhill between old volcanic chimneys as far as I could see. Colors exploded under the sunrise, towers of volcanic rocks glittering above trees. French 79. Perfect moment.

The feeling when you were a child and you got into the car with your parents in the early morning to drive to go on vacation sounds exactly like this beat

Everybody gangster until the traffic lights starts speaks in French House

I don't know why, but the concept expressed in the video (at least in the way I interpret it) is fascinating: an eldritch being or entity that uses light and technology to communicate to individuals that have nothing in their lives or are otherwise bored, all giving them meaning through the light and a purpose: "follow the signal"

This song reminds me of how much of a rush life is, everything just has to go fast if you wanna get somewhere in life or that's what we see on a daily basis atleast. Gotta work fast, study hard, and all of that just to get old and have no use for all the hard work in the end anyways, we see people rushing for trains, getting annoyed in traffic jams. All because that's what society requires of us and it's pretty sad. Modern society wants us to rush our lives giving us little to no time to actually enjoy it.

Every time I listen to this kind of music, my brain is whizzing and swirling. There's some kind of sensation that I can't describe.
