I got one a few weeks ago. And I absolutely love it! I am well known in my musical circle as a tone chaser and guitar modder. This is the first guitar I've ever owned that has gone untouched, except for the personal setup, and will remain in its stock form. That has set a big impression on me and my friends and musical cohorts. PRS hit a homerun with this model.

I admit that I'm always changing pickups and chasing "tone" but I was so shocked that this SE had such good pickups. They're sensitive to height and pole adjustments, split nice, not muddy.. just perfect!

Damn the splits are brighter than the SC's and that full humbucking crunch of both pickups are impressive!

I bought a core Paul's Guitar a few years back and it's easily my favorite guitar. When I heard they were doing an import model, I actually got really excited about it. I'll probably never be able to justify buying another core level guitar, but I could absolutely see myself buying an SE version of it. If they throw in some Phase III tuners and maybe a few different colors, I'll probably shout "shut up and take my money" at Paul.

Just bought this se for my second guitar, it’s just amazing all around. The price can’t be beat for what it is, PRS I feel are in a league of there own and setting the bar for sound and craftsmanship over seas and the us. Great video, Jeff.

Wow ! The Se line has sure come a long way from where it started ! This is a beautiful sounding, looking, playing, guitar . So many cool things about this guitar . They have really gotten upscale with their Se line !

If I didn't already own one of these, I'd go out and buy one today! I replaced the tuners (PRS locking SE tuners) and pickups (Wolftone Dr Vintage) and this is a screamer that gives the core models a run for their money.

I just bought one of these Darrell after watching your video (and then several more afterward for my due diligence of course). Love it! Thanks for the review. I bought the fire red one. It’s gorgeous. Splitting the coils sounds awesome especially with the variety of tones using both pickups in the middle position.

The single coil sounds are really incredibly close to a Strat when keeping in mind that the build should technically not be able to deliver that same twang – but the Paul's Guitar does! Amazing! Great presentation, thanks!
